PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Florida’s only alpine snow-skiing park has returned.

Snowcat Ridge, located in Dade City, reopens for the season Wednesday.

New features this year include an ice-skating rink and igloo rentals.

This will be the park’s second year and follows an inaugural season that had a few hiccups. That included a temporary closure over safety concerns.

After addressing building, electrical and plumbing concerns, the park was reopened.

Tickets for the attraction start at $26.95 and are available online.

Park CEO says they have invested in a lot of improvements since last year. That includes new tubes, improved slopes, better “snow,” more concessions and they’ve even added an ice skating rink! @BN9 pic.twitter.com/QV57HI9VdL
