PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA)—State law enforcement officials canceled the Missing Child Alert that was issued Tuesday for a Land O’ Lakes toddler.

Authorities issued an alert Tuesday morning for 1-year-old Giovanni Oquendo, and said they suspected he was traveling with 20-year-old Kaylee Maurer.

Around 10 a.m. Tuesday, authorities said the child had been located and was safe, but did not provide any more details regarding his disappearance or Maurer’s whereabouts.

Further information was not immediately available.

Several officers involved in shooting at New Port Richey pub

According to New Port Richey Police Chief Kim Bogart, the department was called to the Sullivan’s Boulevard Lounge at 6210 Grand Blvd just after noon for an “unwanted guest.”

Hudson High School on ‘controlled campus’ status after unconfirmed report of weapon on campus

PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Hudson High School was placed on “controlled campus” status Tuesday morning after authorities received an unconfirmed report of a weapon on campus.

Shortly before 1 p.m., the sheriff’s office tweeted that deputies had responded to the school to investigate the report.
