COVID crisis: These states have seen the biggest case increases in the last two weeks
DALLAS (NEXSTAR) — With COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations in the nation spiking to record levels, we’re starting to see states bring back restrictions, urge people to work from home and ask schools to go back to remote learning.
The U.S. set a single-day record of more than 160,000 coronavirus cases on Thursday. Cases nationwide were up more than 70% in the last 14 days.

Prosecutors: Florida coach lied to get $1M in virus relief
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a Florida high school basketball coach fraudulently obtained nearly $1 million in coronavirus relief funds for his consulting company.
Terrence Williams made his initial appearance Friday in Fort Lauderdale federal court. He’s charged with bank fraud and three other counts.

Road to runoff elections begins in Georgia with control of Senate at stake
WASHINGTON (NEXSTAR) — The road to the runoff started this week and all eyes are on Georgia with control of the Senate at stake.
Senators from Capitol Hill, including both from Florida, started to visit the Peach State this week to rally support in the two runoff races that will determine which party holds the majority in next year’s Senate.
