PASCO COUNTY, Fla. — Students at Land O’ Lakes High School were sent home early Tuesday after the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office investigated a report of a “suspicious substance” found in the school’s mail.

In a post on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, the sheriff’s office said the substance wasn’t hazardous but that the school closed out of an “abundance of caution.”

No students were in any danger, the sheriff’s office said.
